Optician 

Duties and Responsibilities: As a dispensing optician you will dispense and fit spectacles and other optical aids, to both adults and children, working from the prescription written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. You'll advise patients on various types  of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight and color. 

Salary: $34,840 USD 

Education: Some award an associate's degree, which takes two years. Other offer a certificate, which takes one years. As of 2010, the Commission on opticianry Accreditation accredited 21 associate's degree programs in 14 states.
