                                             Environmental Health Specialist



Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental health specialist monitor health and safety conditions in residential, industrial, commercial, and recreational settings. A person who works as an environmental health specialist may also be called an environmental health or safety inspector, or a health and safety specialist. The main responsibilities  of the position are to determine the existence of possible health hazards and to take steps to correct them.

Salary: $37,300 to $57,551 per year

Education: To become an Environmental health specialist you would need a bachelor’s degree program is necessary to help prepare those individuals interested in this type of job. There are also professional certifications available. Many universities also offer a master’s degree program for those who want to advance in the profession.
