It was unofficially celebrated in a number of cities and states as early as the 1937. For many, the holidays is a way of both honoring Columbus’ achievements and celebrating Italian-American heritage. Throughout its history, Columbus Day and the man who inspired it have generated controversy,and many alternatives to the holiday have appeared in recent years.
Reflection: My thoughts on this is that it is so wonderful that someone found our American so I’m thankful for that and also that I get to live here in this wonder world. Thank you Christopher Columbus for finding our America. Also I love when it’s Christopher Columbus Day Because me and my family get to have fun in this awesome day.
